Alicia Cervera Lamadrid
President, Related Cervera Realty Service
Havana-born and Miami-raised, Alicia Cervera Lamadrid
comes from a family whose name is synonymous with luxurious
land holdings; she grew up surrounded by real estate, with
both parents in the business (mom Alicia Cervera, founded
Cervera Real Estate, Miami's first real estate firm specializing
in developer sales). A graduate and past student body president
of the University of Miami, Cervera Lamadrid joined her
mother's firm in the early 1980s and rose the ranks eventually
making her mark with such luxury condos as The Imperial,
Villa Regina and Bristol Towers. She took on different
roles and learned the business from the ground up. While
family ties may have initially drawn her into the high
stakes world of multi-million dollar properties, it is
her sharp business acumen and personable, people-first
attitude that keep her among the major players in the industry.
In 2000, Cervera Lamadrid joined forces with developer
Jorge Perez of The Related Group to create Related Cervera
Realty Services (RCRS). This partnership has been integral
in the reurbanization of South Florida as the West Palm
Beach skyline has risen and given birth to live/work/play
neighborhoods. In just under nine years, the full service
real estate brokerage has sold over 13,600 units, representing
over $6.8 billion. RCRS is among the Top 20 Fastest Growing
Private Companies as ranked by the South Florida Business
Journal.
In late 2007, when the marketplace began to shift, RCRS
had 2,766 units under contract and pending closing. Cervera
Lamadrid led sales teams to close $635 million or 64% of
those units it had represented in developer sales. Passionate
about real estate, Cervera Lamadrid continues to lead the
company by example, servicing developer client needs while
also assisting associates with individual and bulk transactions.
Active in the community, Cervera Lamadrid currently serves
as Honorary Chair of the Master Brokers Forum Board of
Directors and is the immediate past Chairperson of the
organization. Established in 1993, the Master Brokers Forum
is the premiere organization for Southeast Florida's elite
real estate professionals. Membership is by invitation
only and limited to the top 250 real estate professionals
in each county. Under her leadership, the organization
began its expansion and is now active in Broward and Palm
Beach counties. Cervera Lamadrid also dedicates her time
to fundraising efforts for worthy causes such as Hogar
Clinica San Juan de Dios in Peru, the United Way, the Red
Cross and is currently serving on the Mercy Hospital Foundation
Board.
Recognized as one of the "Power Women" of
Miami by SunPost Newspaper, Cervera Lamadrid has received
numerous accolades and is a Lifetime Member of the Manchester
Who's Who Registry of Executives and Professionals. In
2007, she won the Best Entrepeneur award by The Stevie
Awards for Women in Business and was also a finalist
for South Florida Business Journal's Business Woman of
the Year award. As if her professional achievements weren't
enough, Cervera Lamadrid is also a mother of two and
wife to husband, Alberto Lamadrid.
